Pembuatan cv yang menarik sebenarnya gampang-gampang susah. Curriculum vitae adalah sebuah ekspresi Latin yang dapat menjadi longgar diterjemahkan sebagai perjalanan dalam hidup saya. Pada penggunaan sekarang, curriculum kurang ditandai sebagai sebuah kata serapan asing.
Bentuk jamak dari curriculum vitæ, dalam Bahasa Latin, terbentuk mengikuti aturan Latin dari tata bahasa sebagai curricula vitæ (yang berarti "perjalanan hidup") atau curricula vitarum (berarti "perjalanan hidup")— bukan curriculum vita (yang menurut tata bahasa tidak sesuai). Dalam membuat film dokumenter yang kita rekam harus berdasarakan fakta yang ada. Jadi film dokumenter adalah suatu film yang mengandung fakta dan subjektivitas pembuatnya. Artinya apa yang kita rekam memang berdasarkan fakta yang ada, namun dalam penyajiannya kita juga memasukkan pemikiran-pemikiran kita.

Dalam membuat film dokumenter ada langkah-langkah dan kiat bagaimana film yang kita produksi disenangi oleh penonton dan tidak memakan biaya yang besar saat memproduksinya..

Langkah yang harus kita tempuh dalam membuat film dokumenter adalah :

Pertama, menentukan ide. Ide dalam membuat film dokumenter tidaklah harus pergi jauh-jauh dan memusingkan karena ide ini bisa timbul dimana saja seperti di sekeliling kita, di pinggir jalan, dan kadang ide yang kita anggap biasa ini yang menjadi sebuah ide yang menarik dan bagus diproduksi. Jadi mulailah kita untuk berpikir supaya peka terhadap kejadian yang terjadi.

Kedua, menuliskan film statement. Film statement yaitu penulisan ide yang sudah ke kertas, sebagai panduan kita dilapangan saat pengambilan Angel. Jadi pada langkah kedua ini kita harus menyelesaikan skenario film dan memperbanyak referensi sehingga film yang kita buat telah kita kuasai seluk-beluknya.

Ketiga, membuat treatment atau outline. Outline disebut juga script dalam bahasa teknisnya. Script adalah cerita rekaan tentang film yang kita buat. script juga suatu gambar kerja keseluruhan kita dalam memproduksi film, jadi kerja kita akan lebih terarah. Ada beberapa fungsi script. Pertama script adalah alat struktural dan organizing yang dapat dijadikan referensi dan guide bagi semua orang yang terlibat. Jadi, dengan script kamu dapat mengkomunikasikan ide film ke seluruh crew produksi. Oleh karena itu script harus jelas dan imajinatif. Kedua, script penting untuk kerja kameramen karena dengan membaca script kameramen akan menangkap mood peristiwa ataupun masalah teknis yang berhubungan dengan kerjanya kameramen. Ketiga, script juga menjadi dasar kerja bagian produksi, karena dengan membaca script dapat diketahui kebutuhan dan yang kita butuhkan untuk memproduksi film. Keempat, script juga menjadi guide bagi editor karena dengan script kita bisa memperlihatkan struktur flim kita yang kita buat. Kelima, dengan script kita akan tahu siapa saja yang akan kita wawancarai dan kita butuhkan sebagai narasumber.

Keempat, mencatat shooting. Dalam langkah keempat ini ada dua yang harus kita catat yaitu shooting list dan shooting schedule. Shooting list yaitu catatan yang berisi perkiraan apa saja gambar yang dibutuhkan untuk flim yang kita buat. jadi saat merekam kita tidak akan membuang pita kaset dengan gambar yang tidak bermanfaat untuk film kita. Sedangkan shooting schedule adalah mencatat atau merencanakan terlebih dahulu jadwal shooting yang akan kita lakukan dalam pembuatan film.

Kelima, editing script. Langkah kelima ini sangat penting dalam pembuatan film. Biasa orang menyebutnya dengan pasca produksi dan ada juga yang bilang film ini terjadinya di meja editor. Dalam melakukan pengeditan kita harus menyiapkan tiga hal adalah membuat transkip wawancara, membuat logging gambar, dan membuat editing script. Dalam membuat transkipsi wawancara kita harus menuliskan secara mendetail dan terperinci data wawancara kita dengan subjek dengan jelas.

Membuat logging gambar ini maksudnya, membuat daftar gambar dari kaset hasil shooting dengan detail, mencatat team code-nya serta di kaset berapa gambar itu ada. Terakhir ini merupakan tugas filmmaker yang membutuhkan kesabaran karena membuat editing script ini kita harus mempreview kembali hasil rekaman kita tadi ditelevisi supaya dapat melihat hasil gambar yang kita ambil tadi dengan jelas. Dengan begitu kita akan mebuat sebuah gabungan dari Outline atau cerita rekaan menjadi sebuah kenyataan yang dapat menjadi petunjuk bagi editor.
